Load binders are designed for providing tension to transport chain under heavy loads with smooth pulls. Made with a forged steel handle, They use a lever action to tighten the chain, which are safe, reliable to operate. Load binders adopt the high-quality material malleable steel to casting parts such as handle and gears to make them more strong and safe. They use fast ratchet action to secure and tie down large loads, which are designed for maximum leverage with the forged steel handle and the design of cam and pawl allow for easier and faster securement.
Load binders are manual tools with simple operation of the lever extends or retracts which are ideal for tightening and straining lashing chains. They utilize a ratcheting action to tighten tie down chains. Besides, unique handle prevents finger pinching which improve the safety. Double-action handle has spring-loaded pawl, which assures constant engagement of the pawl in the ratchet wheel and for simple tightening.
Load binders come with a proof load certificate showing its suitability for use in industrial applications. And rugged alloy steel construction makes the load binder tough and durable. They are constructed from strong, forged alloy steel, and are used in conjunction with low loader chains, usually serves the same purpose as a snap over load binder but works in a slightly different way. A ratchet load binder functions as a turnbuckle with a grab hook complete with keeper pins on either end of the opposing threaded screws. To use a load binder, the threaded bars are wound out fully making load binder as long as possible.
The chains of load binders are often attached to the hooks on the load binder and a ratchet mechanism allows you to incrementally tighten the chains, securely and safely lashing items down. The long handle makes easy work of this arduous task. Load binders with hook have various sizes with the benefits of high pretension and the added safety of screw stops to ensure full thread contact while in use. They are fitted with parallel hooks for direct attachment to chains or with clevis ends for use with those existing fastening devices.
They are very suitable for campers, farmers, truckers and trailers to bind, clamp, anchor, tighten chains or the steel chains securely over a load or around the loads or tie down large cargo loads for heavy duty transport use with lorries, trucks vans. Load binders are widely used for chain binding applications and securing loads in trucking and marine industries, agriculture areas and lifting fields. They greatly improve the productivity and efficiency and decrease the effort of human.
They are also called lever-type binders, ratchet load binders, ratchet chain load binders, lockable load binders, chain tensioner/ binders, ratchet type load binders, spring load binders, indirect load binders, claw type load binders, chain tie down, adjustable lever load binders, load binders truck equipment, truck load binders, claw load binders, snubbed-spring load binders and special lever type load binders.
1. Hooks
With pins, the two grab hooks casted or forged are aimed to prevent the chain from going out. There are different types of hooks such as grab hook, rigging hook or customize. Besides, short reach hooks provide optimum take-up and cradle grab hook with safety pin is available upon request. Hooks have 360˚ rotation so that they are very flexible. Alloy Grab hook is durable for lashing chain. The hooks on these binders mate perfectly and extra hooks with shackles are for leaving lying around the dock. The special hook construction supports the load of the chain and will not bind. Load binders are heat treated and proof tested with forged heat treated hooks.
2. Handle
There are often some property on it such as size, lashing capacity and manufacturers mark. Thanks to those hooks made with forged steel, these binders use a lever action to tighten the chain down. To some extent, the handle has reduced recoil when it is released. Besides, handle can fold down and out of the way, and can be easily secured back to the chain itself using a padlock. One of the advantages of the handle is its great flexibility. The folding handle makes the safer (no handle sticking out) and more convenient to use and remember simply fold the handle down after the load is secure or when storing on your cab rack. The Working Load Limit is permanently marked on handle for the convenience and easy use for users.
3. Gear
They are casted and very flexible but hard and strong to keep the binder reliable to use. The technology of gear is also forged or casted so they are very reliable.
4. Side switch
It is away from force position and allows the flexible adjustments.
5. Chain
Their strong structure ensures the reliability of load binders.
6. Connection
The compact design realizes the connection between the handle and hooks.
7. Barrel
Heavy swaged barrel is cold-drawn tubing instead of welded pipe and features a vinyl coated barrrel for a strong, comfortable grip.
Others
Two types
A. lever load binder
One of the advantages of lever load binder is that they are cost-effective and offer simple operation. While with lever chain binder you can tighten the chains with fixed length, and you need something else to lock the lever binder. Lever type load binders utilize mechanical advantage to reduce the manpower required to secure a load. When using a lever-type load binder, tension can be applied and released quickly. Operators should use caution, as the handle may whip suddenly. What’s more, when securement is complete, the lever stores in line with load. While lever binders are generally easier to use than a ratcheting binder because they have a more simple design and tighten more quickly, the lever stores energy which increases the chance of the lever releasing and snapping back on the operator. This binder design allows the user to release the binder tension without any kickback of the handle typical of a lever style binder. The center body of the binder independently rotates, free of the handle, to release the tension smoothly and easily which eliminates the chance for injuries from the handle swinging with substantial force when released.
B. Ratchet load binder
Ratchet load binders mainly composed by handles, hooks, steel pipes, gears and clips. One of the advantages is their safety and leverage achieved without the use of a binder bar. What’s more, ratchet load binders have a built-in knurled adjustable nut feature so the binder doesn’t have to be repositioned on the chain like standard lever binders to achieve the best possible fit and perfect tension on the chain. There are no more problems getting that last extra half link hookup. The handle’s safety latch is automatically engaged when the handle is closed. This locks the handle in the closed position until it is released which makes our adjustable binder safer than standard lever binders. The convenient thumb release latch is easy to use and has no loose parts to misplace. When regard to the technology adopting, they use forging or casting to make the binder compact but strong and other parts are also forged. Ratchet spring is rust proofed. No requirement for locking of handle than lever type load binders. The main material of ratchet load binders is heavy duty steel to ensure safety hooks. With ratchet chain binder you can ratchet the binder to tighten things up and lock binders. The new ratchet-style load binder is convenient and easier to adjust than traditional lever-type load binders, and features a full eight inches of take-up for a superior range of adjustment.
1. Produce process
First is about drawing, second is to make molds and make pre-forging, then the rough machining or finish machining, then about the treatment of the surface. At last, we will check the quality of our product, then packing and make delivery.
2. These ratchet load binders are of a sturdy quality build which are great assets. When you are transporting your goods, don't let your load come loose whatever it may be. Secure the ratchet load binder and rest assures that you will make it to your destination with no mishaps. Each load binder comes equipped with forged steel. A very handy feature that this product offers is the fact that it includes a ratchet tightening equipment that needs to be done it by hand, or with a tool, can be very difficult. The ratchet tightening can greatly save you time! Also, these load binders can secure a load of up to half the weight of an adult elephant. So get yourself a ratchet load binder or two and secure your state of mind.
3. Caution
Make sure to always select the correct load binder and not to overload the binders.
Grips the trailer or load usually use a sling hook to an anchor point or a grab hook with keeper pins looped back on to the chain. Remove all the slack from the chain by hand before the chain is griped securely by the grab hooks on the end of the load binder.
4. Inspection equipment
Pressure and hardness tester, tensile strength tester, altimeter, metallurgical analysis and scale micrometer.
5. The “T” shape construction
6. You will find that each size is determined with two measurements when ordering lever binders or ratchet binders. Each binder can be used with either size of equipment chain for the appropriate application, but since the different grades have different load limits each binder will be marked with the appropriate chain dimensions for both types of chain for proper performance. Due to the high pre-tension and added safety of screw stops, load binders are of full thread contact while in use.
7. Load binders adopt alloy forged heat treated hook, electro welded links and forged eyebolts that have been bright gold zinc plated to prevent premature oxidation. One man operated and double action handles have spring-loaded (ball bearing) pawls which assures constant engagement of the pawl in the ratchet wheel. Also, steel pawl will always be in the drive or reverse drive operating position at any angle.
8. At this point the handle on the ratchet load binder is cranked causing the load binder to shorten, thus tightening the chain on the load. A ratchet load binder can get a load binder chain extremely tight. In order to release the tension on the chain simply reverse the ratchet mechanism and unwind the binder.
All load binders are manufactured and marked in accordance with new tie down and load securement directive
9. Load binders with higher working load limits have 3-position pawls offering the user a choice of ratchet extension, ratchet take-up or a “free spin” setting for fast adjustment in either direction. A load can be secured in half the time. Load binders can be locked to the tie-down chain with a long shank padlock, making it more difficult to tamper with the binder, assembly or the load. Padlocks with programmable combinations are also available. Besides, load binders feature special links with controlled flash welds.
