Different from railway electric transfer carts there are some other type of carts which have no requirement for the construction of the railway or need different power supply.
1.Electrical part
The batteries are installed in the cart, and supply DC electricity to the control system. They consist of battery, cart frame, electric appliance, motor, reducer, etc.
2.Control boxes
The control box on cart equipped with emergency stop buttons on the power master switch, the electrical control system is equipped with power protection, short circuit protection, large current protection, low-voltage protection, zero protection, emergency stop protection and security label and so on, these equipment make the operation and control of the flat car reliable.
3.Three-in-one Reducer, Motor and Brake
This kind of gear boxes has the advantages of high efficiency, easy installation &maintenance, convenient operation etc.
Brakes are made up of brake parts, brake frame, brake operating device and so on, they are safety device to ensure the safety of vehicle working.
The electric motors are DC motors which have advantages of starting steadily, good regulation-speed performance and high drive torque.

5.General structure
Railway electric transfer carts mainly consist of frame, transmission device (active, passive wheel), and electrical control.
Wheel-set on the shoulder pole bearing seat is connected with the frame by bolts, the structure effectively reduces the height of table.
Gear reducers with cycloidal type on the flat end, have convenient assembly, maintenance and refit.
They set up a connection hook, if it is necessary, can draw other cars or are towed.

7.Wheel
Between the inner and outer insulating sleeve and the insulating pad, the wheel and axle of Railway electric transfer carts are arranged, wheel after insulation makes the electric flat car can use two tracks as a two conductor rail, the insulating sleeve with high properties of insulating materials made from nylon. Wheel material using high surface quenching, quality steel, bearings are double-row spherical roller bearings, can automatically compensate the deformation.
Wheel bearing seat through the pole mounted on the frame, each side with four fixing bolt that effectively reduces the height, lateral stability, bearing capacity, stress of a frame beneficial.
8.Reducers
Using transfer cart hardened surface gear reducer, which is transmission efficiency, easy installation, stable operation, low noise and maintenance, flexible shaft rotation at all levels.
9.Cable Reel

10.Transmission Device
The transmission forms of railway electric transfer carts have a V belt deceleration with a two gear reducer.
Speed reducer for flat car special axle-hung hardened-gear speed reducer, the output shaft is driving wheel axle, gear for hardened gear, has the advantages of small volume, large transmission power, good fatigue strength. Speed reducer and the driving wheel set consist of a transmission device assembly. Through the pole bearing block is mounted on the frame, four bolts each side are used to fix.
11.Traction Hook
These electric rail transfer carts can be set up a connection hook, when necessary, can draw other cars or be towed. Pay special attention to when the car is towed; be sure to lift the brake, to prevent gear or triangle V belt damage. And do not exceed the rated speed of flat, otherwise the motor for super rotation state which could damage.
12. Electrical control cabinet
Electrical control cabinets are assorted with the main power switch and they have the function of power distribution protection, emergency power failure protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection and so on.
13. Car Frame
Box beam structures are adopted on the base of the crane principle and they are combined with the perfect design. With large load capacity, long service lifetime, they are not easy deformation and can effectively ensure the smooth of the platform.

Different kinds of transfer carts
Railway electric transfer carts are mounted on steel rail for shuttling along a fixed path. They can be divided into many different types as shown below:
KPT type is powered by the cable laid on the ground directly. The price is more competitive because of its simple structure, while their distance is often limited in 100 meters.
KPJ type is powered by the cable from the cable reel. Their moving distance is improved to 200 meter compared with the KPT type.
KPX type is powered by the storage battery. This kind of transfer cart is more flexible and safe. While the capacity and the duty group are all influenced by the storage battery. What’s more, the price and the life span of the battery are important issues.
KPC type is powered by the slide wire along the rail, so the moving distance is unlimited. The slide wire is the key point and also the weakest link.
KPD/PKDZ type is powered by the low voltage DC power from the rail. The system is more reliable because it is powered by the rail compared with the KPC type, meanwhile, the system is more complicated and expensive.
