When it comes to operation, remember to test with a light load for proper function after repair of hoist and make sure that all mechanism operates properly with a light load, and then apply 100% of rated capacity. What’s more, operators have to inspect the related items at 30–day intervals. And make sure all supporting structures and attaching devices are strong enough to hold your intended loads. Besides, installation area must provide proper operating conditions for the operator including sufficient room for the operators and other personal to stand clear of the load at all times.
The hook latch of HHB electric chain hoists is used for preventing the slings from coming off and not for loading, and any damaged or improperly working hook latch shall be replaced immediately for further use of HHB electric chain hoists. For the maintenance, the periods between inspections will vary due to the wide range of duty cycle and operating conditions. The following inspections periods area based on average duty with single shift operation (20-25% on time and 100-150%times/hour starts) under normal environmental condition. If the hoists are used in heavier applications or under adverse environmental conditions, they are supposed to inspect more frequently. What’s more, our products are also equipped with inverse phase sequence protecting device, a particular installation, which has the function of controlling the electric circuit to stop to operate, and prevent wiring error in the power supply from load assignments.

The shell of HHB electric chain hoists is made of light aluminum which is light but hard. The integral enclosed structure is applicable to place like chemical plant and electroplate factory and the cooling fin is specially designed to ensure quick heat dissipation with the rate up to 40% and continuous service.
2.Limit Switch
Limit switch device is fitted at the top and bottom ends and you have to switch off power automatically to prevent load chain from running out. It means that the power will cut off automatically when the hoists ascend to their limit.
3.Phase Error Relay
There is a specially designed current-post which prevents motor from running at incorrect wire connection.
4.Chain Container
The chain container is compact and beautiful, which is made of high strength plastic with outstanding durability.
5.Transformer
HHB Electric chain hoists adopt 24V/36V transformer device which is used to guarantee the safe operation while raining and prohibit unexpected accidents caused by electric leakage.
6.Support Frame
The loading support frame consists of two steel plates which are extremely sturdy, and provide a long service life to our products.
7.Brakes
Brakes include the electromagnetic brake and the mechanical load brake. The DC brake system without asbestos, consumption of electricity reduced efficiently. Also it combines to the motor braking as the double brake system to strengthen security and durability.
①The electromagnetic brake
Featured by its unique brake design, electromagnetic brake can immediately operate when power cuts off in case of emergency.
②The mechanical load brake
The limit switch device is installed where the weight is lifted on and off to make the motor to stop automatically so as to prohibit the chains from exceeding for safety.
8.The Emergency–stop Switch and Pendant Control
The red and mushroom-shaped switch is located on the top of the switch controller. Besides, this emergency–stop switch is optional, which is used to stop the HHB Electric chain hoists when an emergency occurs. When pressed and held down, the power will be cut off and the switch is locked. A clockwise-turn can unlock it and restart the hoist. Besides, the push button control fits operator’s hand operation and impact and chemical atmosphere resistant.
9.Hoist Body
The body of HHB Electric chain hoists are pressing steel structure with high strength, which is also light and compact.
10.Hook and Safety Tongue
Constructed of anti-pull and heat-treated to meet required standards, the lower-hook can turn 360 degree of which tongue provide guarantee for safety. What’s more, the heavy top and bottom hooks are casted with safety latch. Both the top and bottom hook made of high tensile alloy steel, with special treatment, which guarantees the hook will not break, and will deform gradually under a sudden extra-load. The main hook includes electric plated limit spring, thrust race, roller bearing and ball bearing which ensure the better mechanical efficiency. Drop forged steel suspension and load hooks are heat treated and fracture resistant. In order to avoid dangerous overloading or abuse, the hook does not fracture but will slowly yield.
The safety tongue is hot forging with perfect strength that is hard to break and the operation safety of the lower hook is ensured by its 360 degrees rotation and safety tongue piece.
11.The Back-phase Protect
The back-phase is designed to protect the motor from overheating in the avoiding the existence of wrong phase position.
12.Chain
Load chain of HHB Electric chain hoists is carbonized with good wear property and long using life. If chain binds jumps or is noisy, check for cleanliness and proper lubrication. If trouble persists, inspect chain for wear and elongation.
13.Heavy Duty Motor
HHB Electric chain hoists adopt high efficent energy-saving motor with asbetos free brake system. Heavy duty motor can make load works become more efficient.
14.Cable
It uses moulded external strainer wire and was built into pendant cord.
15.Electromagnetic Contactor

4.Caution
①Remodeling the hoists, using the hoists where it is exposed to rain or water, using them in the manner not described in the manual, function improperly, leaving a load suspend in the air for extended or unattended periods are all forbidden.
②Avoid plugging, excessive inching, quick reversals of load, swinging of load or load hook when travelling the hoists.
③When the hoists mechanism has reached the end of theoretical duration of service, please have qualified technicians to check the wearing of parts and components such as motor, brake, stand etc. Parts under severe abrasion must be set to replacement.
④Be sure that the power supply is disconnected before performing maintenance and repair procedure and check the limit devices and braking mechanism daily for proper function, and check daily the chain for improper seating, twisting, kinking, wear, or other defects before hoisting.
⑤Don’t use the HHB Electric chain hoists for transporting hot molten masses or in explosion hazard areas or in aggressive environments and outdoors. And pay attention to don’t use them at low temperature below 0℃ temperature over 40℃.
⑥Don’t lift people and never ride the hoisting load and don’t lift load over people and shall not under the hoisting load.
⑦ Make sure the sling is well balanced and avoid tip loading and loading on hook latch. Never lift the load over the rated capacity.
