 Shackles made from high grade carbon structural alloy steel or stainless steel for better corrosion resistance prevention are designed for lifting as removable links to connect wire rope or sling for outdoor activities, which are equipped with magnaflux crack detection and drop forged exquisite craft. Every shackle has the working load mark on it and non-destructive testing covered all the products. Thanks to the shackles, when they are connected with high strength lifting belt, wire rope sling and large radius’s domed roof, there is no need to use the lantern ring.

 Shackles are always finished in polished manganese bronze, hot dipped galvanized or electric galvanized with high mirror polished, and they will be coated with PVC powder and painted in color. With working load limit permanently shown on every item, it is very convenient for users to operate properly. Embossed Size, WLL or BL on the shackle body, also can be marked according to the customers’ request.

 Shackles are usually galvanized and zinc plating, both hot and electro galvanized. They are drop forged, quenched and tempered with alloy pins. In the outer surface, shackles are wrapped are powder coated, then the electro-galvanized, in the heart of shackles, they are made of raw materials.

 7. There are grade 304 stainless steel and grade 316 stainless steel shackle, ss316 is better than ss304 in corrosion resistance and rust prevention, we recommend you choose grade 316 stainless steel if the application areas are very bad like marine and biogas..., If not, SS304 is good enough.

 9. Selection and applications of shackles
①Wire rope slings
When shackles are used with wire rope slings, you’d better select shackles with capacity greater than load a diameter greater than wire ropes but smaller than1/2 the eye length or less. 

②Synthetic slings
 When shackles, are used with synthetic slings, you have to match size of synthetic sling shackle to sling size and capacity, or, select standard shackles with capacity greater than load and width of sling <75% of shackles bow width. Shackles diameter should be large enough to avoid cutting or abrading but less than 1/3 eye length. And there in another thing that operators have to pay attention is that to avoid placing eye on shackle pin and never pinch. 

③In a choker hitch
 When shackles are used in a choker hitch, you should select capacity equal or greater than single leg sling  capacity. 

④When placing into hook
 You’d better choose size shackle to ensure that pin rests on hook and is not hung up on ears.

⑤Used as collector
 You’d better choose size shackles based on total load weight and proper fit on hook, but remember to not exceed 120°included angle.
