 Examples of common floor scale faults

 As a measuring instrument with accurate measurement, fast weighing speed and convenient use, floor scale has been applied more and more in internal logistics turnover of enterprises and foreign trade. In recent years, due to various floor scale manufacturers, large price difference, high frequency of use, improper maintenance and other reasons, the failure rate of floor scale has become a trend of increasing year by year. As a weighbridge surveyor, the author gives some simple examples of common faults:

 1.7  In winter, it is found that the same vehicle drives into the scale, and the value displayed varies greatly, and it is often not returned to zero when it is not loaded. It is found that there is snow accumulation around and at the bottom of the scale body. Such faults often occur in northeast China. Snowflakes are often stored at the bottom of the scale, so it is necessary to clean up the snow in time after snowfall.

 1.8  A scale is timely and inaccurate at weighing. Check whether the connection lines of the junction box are overlapped. It is found that the copper wire of a sensor signal will be connected to other signal lines in the scale. Sometimes also check whether the instrument display junction box connection plug virtual build phenomenon.

 1.9  The display instrument is turned on without display or cursor display. Plug in the signal simulator, the fault still exists, prove the instrument cause, check the power plug, socket and fuse, if there is no abnormal, replace or send to a special agency to repair the display instrument.

 1.10  When the instrument is turned on, the cursor is displayed but no values are displayed. There is no change in the loading scale body. When the signal simulator is inserted, the meter has a numerical display, which proves that the problem lies in the scale body. A detailed inspection of the scale body shows that the connection line between the junction box and the meter is broken, and the signal line is reconnected, and the meter returns to normal.

 1.11  A weighing scale is often used to weigh a heavy vehicle, but the weighing is obviously inaccurate after a period of time. The difference between before and after driving with a small weighing vehicle is not significant, and the difference between before and after driving with a heavy vehicle is significantly increased. The inspection found that the scale body of the floor scale was deformed due to quality reasons. When some sensors drove into the floor scale, the ball was separated from the bearing point and could rotate.

 1.12 A floor scale shows normal when it is empty, and shows negative overload when the heavy vehicle enters. When the vehicle exits, the zero position is unstable. Restart and return to normal. Carefully check the connection box of the scale body and the output lines of each sensor, and find that one of the sensor wires contacts the scale body and is damaged by friction. When the heavy truck drives into the scale body, the bare signal wire contacts the scale body and causes abnormal output.

 1.13  A grain depot found that the recent weigh-in of some vehicles showed abnormal, but most of the time the weigh-in showed normal.
