Safety operation of tower crane

Tower Crane is a modern form of balance crane and a common fixture that consist of the same basic parts and mainly used in factories and major construction site especially for those construction of skyscrapers and other tall building in our everyday use, rising hundreds of feet into the air and self-erecting, hammerhead, flat top and luffing jib varieties are available, Tower cranes with a wide range of sizes and capacities to raise loads up to 120 tons.
 Do you know safety issues about it? We must strictly observe the regulations and follow Safety operation. Please read below carefully for some good advice of tower crane safety device
 1. lift weight limiter
  (1) Install lifting weight limiter of tower crane
  (2) When the weight is more than rated value of the corresponding block but less than 110% of rated value, then ascending direction power will be cut off and the mechanisms will be static in the direction of the movement.
 2. lifting moment limiter

  4. travel limiting device
  (1)Tower crane trolley should be assembled trolley limit switch.
  (2) Should be assembled to boom low position and high position amplitude limit switch, as well as to prevent the boom rebound back.
 5. lifting height limiter
  (1) Tower should be installed on the hook with lifting height limiter.  Lifting height limiter needs conform to GB/T9462 - 1999 4.7.1 regulations.
  6. rope protection device
 tower crane trolley must be assembled rope protection device.
  7. Trolley axle breaking protection device
 tower crane trolley should assembled the trolley shaft breakage protection device, even if the axle fracture, the goods will not fall.
  8. wire rope anti-drop device
  Pulley, lifting drum shall be provided with boom luffing wire rope anti-drop device, the device with a pulley or reel side the outer edge of the  gap should not exceed 20% of the diameter of the wire rope. The hook should be provided for preventing rope disengaging.
  9. anemometer
  Jib root pivot point height is greater than 50m tower crane, shall be equipped with the anemometer. When the wind speed is more than the limit of  wind speed, should be assembled operating alarm.
  10. rail clamp
  Track type tower crane install rail clamping device, the tower crane under non-working state cannot move on the track.
  11. buffer, blocking device
  The mobile tower crane and trolley track end of travel shall be provided with a stop device. A buffer is arranged on the stopping device of tower crane, as with the stop device of impact, buffer should make tower smoothly park without impact.
  12. rail cleaning plate
  Track type tower crane frame to be fitted on troubleshooting rail cleaning plate, rail cleaning plate and the track between the gap should not exceed 5mm.
