Ten Terms of Fall arresters
 Understand these 10 terms, fall arrester is easy to handle.           
 1.  Anti-falling safety device: an over-speed safety device that stops and maintains the over-speed suspension cage or counterweight (hereinafter referred to as "protective target").            

 2.  Progressive anti-falling safety device: a progressive over-speed safety device with adjustable initial braking force and increasing braking force in the process of stopping the protective target.            

 3.  Gear progressive anti-falling safety device: progressive anti-falling safety device consisting of gears directly or indirectly meshing with the rack of the elevator, centrifugal speed limiting device, brake device and so on.            

 Note:Gear progressive anti-falling safety device has gear bevel drum (brake device is bevel drum), gear disc (brake device is disc) and other types.            

 4.  Rated braking load: the ultimate load of the anti-falling safety device which can effectively stop braking.            

 5.  Action speed: The running speed of the protective target triggering the starting action of the anti-falling safety device.            

 Note: The action speed is the gear pitch circular line speed which meshes with the hoist rack when the anti-falling safety device starts to operate.             

 6.  Rated action speed: the limit action speed allowed by the fall-proof safety device.           

 7. Braking distance: The distance from the start of the anti-falling safety device to the stop of the protective target and the movement of the protective target.            

 Note: Braking is the arc length of any point on the pitch circle of the gear meshing  with the rack of the elevator when the anti-falling safety device starts to operate and the protective target is stopped by braking.            

 8.  Braking direction: The direction in which the direct output gear of the anti-falling safety device is restricted to rotation when braking.            

 9.  Transition gear: A gear device which is located between the direct output gear of the anti-falling safety device and the rack of the elevator and meshes with  them, and is mainly used to increase the number of bearing teeth of the direct output gear of the anti-falling safety device.            

 Note: When the anti-falling safety device brakes, the direction in which the excessive gear is restricted to rotate may be opposite to the braking direction of the anti-falling safety device.            

 10.  Increasing/decelerating mechanism: A gear device which is located between the direct output gear of the anti-falling safety device and the rack of the elevator and meshes with them respectively, and is used to adjust the speed and braking force of the direct output gear of the anti-falling safety device.
