Wire rope grips made of high strength aluminum alloy material or iron material are reliable tool of line tensioning used to adjust sag in the operation of erecting wire and tightening ground wire/insulated conductors in towering. Wire rope grips, as a multi-purpose hand puller, make it easy to place grips on cable using one hand, which greatly improve the working efficiency, and with their unique delicate smooth clamp mouth and double teeth making wire rope grips hold the wire tightly and reach the minimal harm to wires.

They are specially designed for use when light, compact grip is desired and where conductor damage is not a factor. The grips have large eye openings that are compatible with standard hooks and easily attach to all model pullers. Besides, wire rope grips can be inserted or removed from a wire with ease due to its instant release system. They are also quite durable yet lightweight and feature a chromate finish that protects them from rust and corrosion, which greatly increase the durability and their life-span for users’ convenience.

Wire rope grips are also known as a "pork chops” which allow you to bite anywhere on the cable and use another tool for line tensioning. All gripping jaws are produced with new technology to increase jaw life and the parallel jaws give a firm non-slip grip and will not make damages on the wire. One of the advantages of them is that they experience special heat treatment so that they have strong resistance to tension and high meshing degree, which is not easy to slippage deformation. What’ more, all of the models are rated for a variety of wire sizes and types – that means fewer grips are needed or fewer grip change are required and every product will be 100% tested before the delivery to ensure the quality of our products.

1. Structure

With compact and strong structure, the top core parts are made of high quality alloy steel, which is specially heat treated. It is light and portable. Besides, the resistance is strong and bite is high so that they are not easy to slip or deform, which also ensure the sturdy quality. Owing to the delicate and smooth tongs, they are minimal damage to lead. The clamp mouth is equipped with anti-chip safety device, which ensures safety and no jumper. All the wire rope clamps have experienced special heat treatment and dope high quality alloy steel for high strength. The design of the half-moon clip is suitable for all kinds of steel cables and cables so that the application of the tensioning device is applicable to the electric power, the operation of the industry and agriculture, and the tightening of the rope line.

2. Swing latch｜spring loaded latch

The design of swing latch is to help hold cable in the jaw, which greatly improve the safety. All grips are manufactured from custom drop-forged steel that is machined and heat treated for excellent durability. And each grip is individually hand inspected and actuated for proper function. They are also rigorously tested and pulled to rated load to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Wire and cable grips are the lightest and most versatile grips available and all wire rope grips feature a safety latch to prevent cable from unintentionally exiting the gripping jaws.

3.Gear｜three face gear｜single gear

The gears fit each well so that cable gripping clamps can woke smoothly while they are in operation. Single gear, three gears and other additional gears are available for emergency or the failure risk. The gears have elegant pattern and special design for suit.

4. Jaws

The standard and aggressive jaw models are available. The jaw of automatic clamp is specially designed as V type jaw, the both side link can hold the anti-twisting rope symmetry. (Please provide the accurate diameter of rope when confirming the order. Wire rope grips adopt round inside-jaw control and the jaw part adopt a special processing of heat treatment so that it firmly clamp the cable and does not hurt the inner core whether winter or summer. Due to its optional high strength aluminum alloy, it is light weight and good for protecting the surface of conditions. The gripping pressure of the knurled jaw is applied to 1/4'' cable area. The parallel jaws give a firm non-slip grip and with a safety device, they will not damage the wire and can prevent the jump line of steel strand. Standard or aggressive Jaw models are both available. Serpentine jaws are specially machined to allow insertion of insulated conductor through the jaws, which greatly reduces danger of slippage which might result in insulation damage. Besides, gripping pressure of the knurled jaw is applied to 1/4-Inch (6.35 mm) cable area and there is swing latch to help cable in the jaw. All gripping jaws are produced with new technology to increase jaw life. Wire rope Grips are designed to be used over a wider range of cable diameters.

5. Handle

Thanks to the large notched handle eye opening, they can accept standard hooks and attach to the tackel blocks easily. All the models are rasted for a variety of wire sizes and types, thus fewer grip changes are requireed. With large handle eye opening, it can accept sytandard hooks and can easily attached to tackle blocks. Dur to the convenient handle, they are very comfortable to hold. The self gripping clamps can be used whenever a conductor, a cable or a rope made of aluminium, aluminium/ steel, copper or steel, even if insulated, has to be stretched. Convenient sized and special shaped pulling eyes are designed to suit all brands of wire and strap hoists.

6. Bolt

Those different parts are connected by hard bolts, which make wire rope grips more strong and reliable. The body is forging of high strength aluminum alloy, using the bolt not to slip line and hurt the line. It is necessary ito specify when ordering diameter and fiber cable models. We offer customers the additional bolts and various types and sized bolts for use in case of the lack or the potential failure. Remember although they are tiny but they still need careful maintenance and lubrication so that they can work well and keep their strength. Owing to the spiral structure, they fit other accessories quite well and use the elegant design for appearance.

7. Marks

The notes or tags can be printed on the products in order to meet the customers’ requirements. It can be written with material, alloy componets, brand and the limited dimensio can also be marked if there is need to do for convenient operation. They are very suitable to tigten the insulated conductors ro adjust fo sag. Remember to read carefully of the manual before using because the marks may not very complete but they are still necessary.

8. Spring

Wire rope grips adopt spring structure to ensure their flexibility and they are very suitabel for holding OPGW overhead optical wire, with cable diameter the same as grip size in order to ensure clamping firmly, reduce the pressure of clamped parts cable is clamped part and protect the inside fiber of cable not to be damaged. It can not only shorten but also legnthen, when it is pressed or pulled, after you loose it, it will completely return to the original shape. But it has high intesity and elasicity so you can utilize it to grip the thic wire ropes or cables, they can bear the strength well and have excellent performance. Cause they are lubricated by the oiling so that they looks very smooth and have nice appearance. Also, according to the different demand of wire ropes, we will provide different type of elasticity of spring. It is also very important to keep them in appropriate environment and keep good maintenance of them. The lubrication for them is necessary.

9.Trigger

They are located on the handle for easy operabbtion. Owing to the rugged and portable forged steel construction, they are drable and lighjtweight and the yellow chromate finish protect components from rust an dcorrosion. It can start and make adjustment for overhead power lines sag and tigjhten wire which plays an important role in gripping. Cause the trigger has the prominet equipment, thus operators can use the hadle more comfortably. If you use the gun, that yu can image the importance of the trigger. Every operation of the grip should use the trigger firstly. It indeed plays an important role during the start and the continuius operation. Because fo this speciality, operators are supposed to care the trigger and keep good maintennace of it.

10. Conical reaction chamber

with the latest design of needle brush and BM ring inhalation technology to make the product more effective and thanks to the design of conical reaction chamber, the customized PH1100 water pump is selected.
