How to eliminate faults in the use of ring chain electric hoist

Ring chain electric hoist has many advantages. For example, the structure is compact and the volume is small. Braking is also efficient and convenient, gathering the advantages of many kinds of electric hoist in one. However, even the best equipment may fail. Below is a detailed description of how to remove the fault occurred in the working process of the chain electric hoist.

 Fault 1: No Motor Turning for Ring Chain Hoist            

 If the motor does not  turn during the use of the chain hoist. It may be that the motor is not used  for a long time and the brake can‘t be opened. It is necessary to remove the rubber dust cover of the back-end bearing and tap the motor shaft several times. If the motor power supply is out of phase, it is necessary to check the power supply and electrical circuit. If  the voltage is lower than the rated voltage, the motor will not turn. At this  time, it is necessary to wait for the stable voltage to be restored. Finally, it is also possible that the brake wheel and the rear cover friction plate are corroded and bitten to death, which requires the removal of the rear cover and the cleaning of the brake surface.

 Fault 2: Safety Clutch Slipping at 1.25-fold Rating Load             

 If the safety clutch slips at the rated load of 1.25 times, the friction moment of the safety clutch is too small. The adjustment nut or screw on the right-handed safety clutch can increase the positive pressure on the friction disc to solve the problem. Damage to the safety clutch can also cause slippage in the use of the machine, at which time parts need to be replaced.

 Fault 3: Heavy Goods Slipping Distance Too Large 

 If the chain hoist is used in the process, there will be a phenomenon that the weight sliding distance is too large. It may be that the friction surface of the brake is greasy. Just remove the back cover of the motor and wipe the greasy surface clean. The second reason may be that the friction surface of the brake wears too much and the motor moves too much. The solution is to unload the back cover of the motor and adjust the shim and the motor rotor shaft moves too much. The  last reason is that the motor pressure spring is damaged. Replacing the  pressure spring can eliminate the fault. If the motor conical brake ring is damaged, the brake needs to be replaced directly.

 Fault 4: Excessive Temperature of Motor            

 If the temperature of chain hoist is too high, it may be overloaded or working too frequently. At this time, it needs to work according to the rated load and the working level of the mechanism. It is also possible that the failure of lubricating oil or too little lubricating oil can be solved by changing or refueling. Finally, if the brake is not adjusted properly, the friction between the brake wheel and  the brake will also make the motor temperature too high. Re-adjusting the brake can solve this problem.

 Fault 5: Poor contact between collector and sliding contact wire            

 Environmental factors such as high air humidity in working environment will cause the spring to be rusted and fail, resulting in poor contact between carbon brushes and sliding  lines. The position of carbon brush contact has chamfer. When the carbon brush passes through the uneven sliding line interface, the electric hoist can‘t work well because of its small inertia. In order to eliminate the bad condition of collector and sliding contact wire, we first reinforce the sliding line interface position to ensure that the interface is as flat as possible. Secondly, the rusted spring of collector is replaced. At the same time, the carbon brush contacts are polished to make the contacts more smooth, eliminate the gap caused by the uneven sliding interface, and ensure that the contacts can effectively contact with the sliding copper guide. Finally, it is necessary to strengthen the technical disclosure of electric hoist users, and correct and standardized use of electric hoist.
